Can I open a Public Sector trade account with you?

For some repeat customers, public sector and larger companies we can offer credit terms. Completing an account application form to open a 30-day credit account for subsequent orders, is subject to satisfactory Trade references. Your credit limit will be set accordingly. What colours can you print on my chosen product?

We can print any colours you require. We require a pantone colour (PMS) to give the best colour match. Although print colours do vary on each item. So please remember to keep this in mind when ordering.

Which colour ink is best?

We get asked this question a lot, as some of our pens offer choice ink colours. People want to ensure they are making the right choice and that their items are as useful as possible to make sure their campaign is successful. Over the years we have found that professional sector industries (accountants/solicitors etc.) prefer to use black ink. This in more widely recognisable for filling in forms. However, for more casual users a blue ink would fine.

When is latest I can place my Christmas Order?

To make sure you get your promotional items in time for Christmas we ask that all orders are submitted to us by the 3rd of December. It is always best to order your items at the beginning of November as this will allow you plenty of time to give them out to customers and colleagues throughout the festive season.

Do prices include VAT?

No, all prices shown on the website are quoted by Promofix and are subject to VAT at the current rate.

How long does it take to get my products?

Most products are dispatched within 7-10 working days from artwork approval to sign off.

However, we offer an express service for those in a real rush!

Products which are manufactured in the far east typically take 3-4 weeks. You will be able to tell by looking at the lead-time which is detailed on each product page.

Our logo consists of tints and half tones - will this come out ok?

It depends on the printing process involved for your item. It may be that a halftone or tint needs to be printed in solid colour. We would suggest that you let us see your logo. Then we will then be able to advise you on the best way to proceed and give a more accurate estimate of the cost or products that your logo would work better on.

I only want a small quantity of branded pens, e.g. 50 what can you do?

We would not be able to do any of the low-cost plastic pens, as most of these items have a minimum quantity order of 250. But we would be able to do some of the more expensive metal pens as these are available in smaller quantities.

Also be aware by ordering smaller quantities of items, you will incur minimum surcharges on your order.

Can I see a printed sample with my logo on?

For large volume orders or bespoke item orders, we are able to produce a pre-production sample to allow you to check everything is correct before proceeding with a large production run, but this is not possible for smaller orders.

Can I approve my artwork before my items are printed?

Once you have confirmed your order and sent your artwork to us either online or with one of our team you will receive an email titled ‘artwork Approval Form’ which will show you how your final promotional item will look.

We will need you to carefully check all of the details on the artwork proof are correct before replying to our email stating the artwork is approved or if amendments are necessary. Then we can progress your job to production and confirm your delivery date.

Can we print four spot colour (or full) colour process print?

We have a range of products that can be printed with a four colour process (or full colour) as this is more of a photo type print rather than solid colours.

What is the minimum quantity I can order?

We have detailed the minimum quantity on our individual product pages, but it is always worth giving us a call to see if we can suggest an alternative product.

What is a Pantone colour?

A pantone colour is a universal system which defines an exact colour based on a breakdown of primary colours.

Every colour has a Pantone Matching System (PMS) reference number. This is a system used throughout the industry to ensure any printer can match colours specified by any designer. The designer who originally created your logo or the printers who print your company stationary will probably have the artwork and PMS references.

What do you mean when you state 'unders & overs' in your Terms & Conditions?

Due to the nature of printing and the materials used, it is not always possible to judge the exact amount of products that will be produced & printed specifically for your order. Also, we need to take into account spoilages and machine stoppages. Therefore, our terms and conditions state that your order is subject to ‘unders’ or ‘overs’ of up to 10% meaning you could get 10% more or 10% less.

Where can I find my Pantone reference for my artwork?

When we screen print your promotional items we need to know the Pantone colour reference for each colour in your artwork. If you don’t know what these are the designer who originally created your logo will probably have the artwork and Pantone (PMS) references.

Urgent and Express Service Explained - 24 hours or 5 working days

Many items on our website are available as Urgent (24 Hours) or Express (5 Working Days) for printed products. However, the following should be noted. Save time and money by viewing our selection of our most popular products online. These products can be ready for dispatch within 24 hours or 5 working days from receipt of approved artwork. That means that once the factory has checked your artwork and you have returned the signed paper proof, you can start counting down the working days needed to fulfill your order.

  • The Urgent or Express lead-time does not include transit time.
  • For our urgent 24 hour service, only products printed in 1 colour can be offered unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to withdraw this service on any of our products without notice & subject to stock availability. For orders required with a timescale less than stated on the website you may incur extra charges, this is subject to factory availability.

What colours will work best on my item?

Decide on the colours you wish to be printed. You can quote a standard colour reference such as Pantone reference or send us a sample of a physical reference such as a previously printed order or letterhead to enable us to match to your requirements. Try to avoid having bright colours on dark coloured printed pens.

Accurate colour matches can only be achieved on white or light-coloured promotional products. If the promotional item chosen is very dark you are advised to choose safe printing colours such as white, silver or gold. These are opaque and will cover the background colour of the item being printed. We would also like to remind you that metallic printed colours are not as durable as conventional colours because of their formulation and we can provide an optional overprinting varnish on these inks, for more information on this feel free to get in touch.

How do I choose a Pantone Colour?

Promofix uses the Pantone colour matching system which is created to enable designers to select their preferred colours.

With promotional products, Promofix use the same colour chart, We must mention that due to different materials used in manufacture, Promofix cannot guarantee the Pantone match will be 100% perfect but our goals are to get as close as possible
