When a Shropshire woman entered her puppy in a canine contest at a county show, she didn’t realise that it would ‘lead’ to a new line of business.
Kathryn Holloway, from Bridgnorth, who runs successful promotional merchandising company Promofix, was asked by the show organisers to then help them promote a large forthcoming championship event.

One of the county’s leading suppliers of promotional items for businesses has moved to a new state-of-the-art offices in Bridgnorth.
Kathryn Holloway, owner of Promofix, has won numerous awards for her marketing skills and innovative designs for merchandise to help raise the profile of companies large and small throughout the region.
Marketing idea for manhole covers brings contract success
Dealing in drainage covers may not be the most glamorous of trades, but one enterprising Shropshire company has come up with a quirky idea to promote its business resulting in a major new contract.
R&B Ltd of Madeley in Telford, produces cast and ductile iron manhole and drainage covers, supplying most of the major builders merchants in the country, and recently exhibited at a large trade show in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates.

Wednesday 15 June 2011 saw Telford Business Partnership hold one of their quarterly breakfast events which attracted 65 delegates from local companies.
Details of the Annual Review were presented by Graham Davies & Robin Melley, speaker Dominic Fleming of Southwater Event Group giving an update on their developments and  the inaugural Telford Young Professional of The Year Award was presented by Kathryn Holloway (TYP Chair) & Thom Kennedy (Business Editor, Shropshire Star)

The award is open to entrants in the age group 18-35, and from any individual who works within the Telford or Shropshire area who feel they have made an outstanding achievement in their organisation or maybe they have setup their own enterprise.
