Kathry's Prize Winning Business Idea!
Kathryn Holloway was announced as a runner up at 2009 Morgan Foundation Entrepreneur Awards in a gala awards ceremony at Carden Park Hotel, Chester. The winners and runners up in the six categories won a total of £100k plus a package of valuable professional services.
Kathryn Holloway - Director of Promofix Ltd was joint runner up in the category of Young Entrepreneur and was awarded £2500 to invest within the business. Kathryn, commented "It truly is a great accolade to receive as there were a lot of good businesses and other successful young people within my category. We have clear plans how the prize money will be used to continue the growth a
nd success of Promofix".
The Awards are designed to encourage a whole new generation of entrepreneurial role models and were open to charities, social enterprises, businesses and entrepreneurs from Merseyside, Cheshire, Shropshire, North Wales and the Wolverhampton area.
Steve Morgan, commenting on the Awards, said: "Despite, or maybe because of, the current economic climate, there were a record number of entries this year and the overall standard was higher than ever. Picking the finalists was difficult enough, let alone the winners and runners-up. We were looking for those with a sound plan and the grit and determination to make it succeed and I believe we've found them. The money and professional service prizes awarded will offer a real boost and make a big difference to the winners organisations."
