Make Chatter Matter Month - I CAN, the children's communication charity, will hold Make Chatter Matter Month in February to highlight the importance of children’s speech and language development during the early years as the foundation for lifelong learning and social development.
The Toddle Waddle - The Toddle Waddle is a fun way for the under 5s to do their bit to promote awareness of Meningitis with their very own sponsored walk. It is the Meningitis Trusts largest annual fundraising event, and has raised nearly £2.5 million to date, it shows how small steps can lead to big changes. It takes place throughout April, with tens of thousands of toddlers taking part, all across the UK. However, we are quite happy for Toddle Waddles to be orgainsed at other times of the year that are most convenient to you.

2 Feb 2008 - Candlemas (Christian)
Christian remembrance of the infant Jesus being brought to the temple in Jerusalem. His Godly presence was recognised.
2 - 8th February 2009 - National Salt Awareness Week
Aims to educate the public on the importance of reducing salt in the diet and how this can be achieved in a practical way.
2 February 2009 - World Wetlands Day
2 February each year is World Wetlands Day. It marks the date of the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands on 2 February 1971, in the Iranian city of Ramsar on the shores of the Caspian Sea. Each year since 1997, government agencies, non-governmental organisations, and groups of citizens at all levels of the community have taken advantage of the opportunity to undertake actions aimed at raising public awareness of wetland values and benefits and the Ramsar Convention.
6 February 2009 - UNICEF Day for Change
A national non-uniform day. Day for Change gives pupils the opportunity to wear what they want for the day in return for a small donation to UNICEF. In 2005, Day for Change focuses on the issue of food and nutrition in Ethiopia and Tajikistan.
7 - 14 February 2009 National Marriage Week
Celebrated in churches and communities across the country - the purpose of the Week is to celebrate the importance of marriage. Marriage Week UK celebrates the diversity and vibrancy of marriage as the basis for family life in the UK.
9-15 February 2009 WOW (World Orphan Week) projectbritain.com
A chance to make a difference to orphaned children around the world by raising money and awareness for SOS Children. In February 2008, people across the UK from city dwellers to country folk and school kids to politicians, will be wearing something wacky, extravagant or just plain out of the ordinary to support World Orphan Week, SOS Children's annual fundraiser.

10 February 2009 - Safe Internet Day
Safer Internet Day takes place each year in February to promote safer and more responsible us of online technology and mobile phones, especially amongst children and young people across the world

Christian celebration of the love of God presented in Jesus and in the lives of Christian believers.
14 February 2009 - Gold Heart Day
Get your Gold Heart for a minimum £1 donation and help The Variety Club Children's Charity assist thousands of sick, disabled and desadvantage chidren across the UK.
14 - 21 February 2009 National Nest Box week
National Nest Box Week aims to get as many people as possible to put up nest boxes in order to help our breeding birds and other wildlife. It is organised by the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO).
15 February 2009 - International Childhood Cancer Day
The aim of the Day is to help children with cancer get the best possible treatment and care, no matter where they live in the world, by raising both awareness and money.
